Each Medihyalo Cream tube contains: 

0.2% sodium hyaluronate, 1.0% silver sulfadiazine.   

Therapeutic Indications                 

  • Burns :

line treatment in the management of II/III degree burns, Laser burns (Hair removal)

  • wound (Wound Infection) :
  • Burn wound
  • Surgical wounds
  • Cesarean section
  • Pressure ulcers
  • Diabetic foot ulcers
  • Post operatives wound care

Dosage and Administration   

  • The cream is applied directly to the injury in a layer of at least 2-3 mm thick. The application must be renewed at least every 24 hours after the cream residue has been carefully removed with water or with an isotonic saline solution. 


  • Hypersensitivity to sulfonamides. Pregnancy. Premature babies and infants in the first two months of life.                                                        

Warnings and precautions            

  • Before treatment with medihyalo, wounds should be cleaned of necrotic deposits.
  • Medihyalo should only be used with caution in patients with hepatic or renal insufficiency 
  • During long term treatment, it is advisable to check the white blood cell count.
  • With sun exposure the treated area should be protected by a bandage

Undesirable Effects        

  • The most frequently reported adverse effects concern various reactions at the application dsite, such as rash or itching
  • Allergic reactions, sensitizing effects and skin reactions with Medihyalo can occur locally. In particular, gray discoloration of the skin can develop under the influence of sunlight. Therefore Medihyalo should always be protected from light under a bandage.
